Predikt — Premier League Prediction Contest

1. CONTEST OVERVIEW

This is a skill-based prediction contest in which participants compete to most accurately predict official match statistics from the English Premier League. This contest is run each Premier League matchday throughout the season (up to 38 contests per season). Winners are determined solely by the accuracy of their predictions as verified against official Opta data published by Stats Perform. This is NOT a lottery, raffle, or game of chance. No element of the winner selection process involves randomness.

2. ELIGIBILITY

Open to individuals aged 18 years or older at the time of entry.
Participants must be legal residents of the United States of America.
Excluded States: Residents of the following states are NOT eligible to participate: Montana, Idaho, Hawaii, Washington, and Louisiana. Entries from residents of these states will be disqualified and refunded.
International entries are NOT accepted. This contest is limited to U.S. residents only.
Employees, family members, and household members of the Sponsor are not eligible to win prizes. The Sponsor may participate for tracking/demonstration purposes but forfeits any prize to the next highest-scoring participant.
Void where prohibited by law. It is the sole responsibility of each entrant to determine whether participation is lawful in their state of residence.

3. CONTEST PERIOD

This contest runs on each Premier League matchday (up to 38 per season).
Entry Opens: Immediately following the conclusion of the previous matchday's contests (typically the Monday of matchday week).
Entry Deadline: 2 hours before the first scheduled kickoff of the matchday. The exact deadline is displayed on the contest page in the entrant's local timezone.
Results Announced: Within 24 hours of the final matchday fixture being completed and official Opta statistics being published.

4. HOW TO ENTER

Visit the official contest page at https://predikt.win.
Submit your prediction(s) for the contest question listed in Section 5 below.
Submit payment of the entry fee (see Section 6) via the accepted payment method(s).
Your entry is confirmed only when BOTH a valid prediction AND payment have been received before the Entry Deadline.
Multiple entries per person are permitted. Each entry requires a separate $25 payment. Entries under fake names will be disqualified and no refund issued.

5. CONTEST QUESTION

Each matchday, participants will be asked to predict a specific Premier League match statistic. The exact question will be announced on the contest page when entries open for that matchday.

Questions may involve any officially tracked Opta statistic (e.g., throw-ins, corners, fouls, shots on target, completed passes, etc.) and may change from week to week.

Tiebreaker Questions:

If two or more participants are equally close on the primary question, one or more tiebreaker questions will be used. Tiebreaker questions are displayed alongside the primary question on the contest page.

Tiebreakers are judged in order until a winner is determined.

6. ENTRY FEE

Entry fee: $25.00 USD per entry.
Accepted payment method(s): Venmo
Payment must reference your name as submitted on the entry form.
Venmo payments must be sent to: @predikt. Payments must include your contest name in the note/description field.
Entry fees are non-refundable once the Entry Deadline has passed, except in the event of contest cancellation (see Section 12).
Maximum Entries: This contest is limited to 120 entries per matchday. Once 120 entries are confirmed (prediction submitted + payment received), entry is closed regardless of the stated Entry Deadline. Entries are confirmed on a first-come, first-served basis.

7. PRIZE STRUCTURE

Administrative Fee: The Sponsor retains 7.5% of total collected entry fees to cover contest administration, platform costs, payment processing fees, and operational expenses. This fee is disclosed to all participants prior to entry.
Prize Pool Formula (Fixed): The prize pool equals total entry fees collected minus the administrative fee. This formula is fixed and cannot be changed after the contest opens for entries.
Live Entry Count: The contest page displays a live entry counter showing the current number of confirmed entries and the resulting prize pool (total fees minus admin fee). Participants may view the current entry count and prize pool amount before deciding to enter.
Prize Distribution (percentage of prize pool):
🥇 1st Place: 57% of prize pool
🥈 2nd Place: 29% of prize pool
🥉 3rd Place: 14% of prize pool

Prizes are paid via Venmo within 24 hours of the final whistle of the final matchday fixture.
Unclaimed Prizes: If a winner does not respond within 24 hours of notification, their prize will be added to the following week's prize pool.

Winner Notification & Payment:

The full entry sheet will be shared on the official Predikt Instagram page shortly after the entry deadline closes.
Winners will be notified via Instagram DM within 24 hours of results being verified.
Winners must respond with their Venmo username within 24 hours of notification.
Failure to respond within 24 hours will result in the prize being rolled into the next matchday's prize pool.

8. WINNER DETERMINATION — SCORING METHOD

The winner is the participant whose prediction is closest to the actual verified Opta statistic (least absolute difference).

Tiebreaker Procedure:

If two or more participants have identical scores:

The tiebreaker questions are evaluated (see Section 5) — first by correct fixture identification, then by proximity to the throw-in count for that fixture.
If still tied: the entry submitted earliest (by timestamp) wins.
Under no circumstances is a winner selected by random draw, coin flip, or any other chance-based method.

9. VERIFICATION & DATA SOURCE

All results are verified using official Opta data published by Stats Perform at https://optaplayerstats.statsperform.com or the equivalent official Opta data feed.
Opta's published figures are final and not subject to dispute.
If Opta corrects or amends a statistic after initial publication, the corrected figure will be used if it is published within 72 hours of the final fixture. After 72 hours, the originally published figure stands.

Postponed, Cancelled, or Abandoned Fixtures:

If one or more fixtures in a matchday are postponed, cancelled, or abandoned before or during play and not completed within the matchday window, the following procedure applies:

The contest still proceeds. It is NOT cancelled due to a postponed fixture.
The postponed fixture's stat contribution will be replaced by the average of the completed fixtures. Specifically: calculate the average of the relevant stat across all completed matchday fixtures, round to the nearest whole number, and add this value for each postponed fixture.
Multiple postponements: If more than one fixture is postponed, each postponed fixture receives the average of the completed fixtures. If more than half of the matchday's fixtures are postponed, the contest is cancelled and all entry fees are refunded (see Section 12).
Abandoned mid-game: If a fixture begins but is abandoned before full time, stats recorded up to the point of abandonment are used as that fixture's contribution, per official Opta data for that match.

Results, scoring breakdown, and the leaderboard will be published on the official Predikt Instagram page and at predikt.win within 24 hours of data verification.

10. TRANSPARENCY & FAIR PLAY

A full leaderboard (showing all entries' predictions and scores) will be published after results are announced.
The Sponsor's own entry (if any) will be disclosed publicly. The Sponsor may participate but forfeits any prize position to the next eligible participant.
Any participant found to have used false identity information or colluded with other participants will be disqualified.
The Sponsor reserves the right to investigate suspicious patterns.

11. TAX RESPONSIBILITY

Winners are solely responsible for reporting and paying any taxes owed on prize winnings in accordance with U.S. federal and state tax law.
Winners should consult a tax professional regarding their specific obligations.

12. CONTEST CANCELLATION & REFUNDS

If fewer than 40 entries are received by the Entry Deadline, the Sponsor reserves the right to cancel the contest and refund all entry fees in full via Venmo within 24 hours.
If more than half of the matchday's scheduled fixtures are postponed, cancelled, or abandoned, the contest is cancelled and all entry fees are refunded in full within 24 hours of the start of the opening game.
If the contest is cancelled for any other reason, all entry fees will be refunded within 24 hours.
Once a contest has concluded and results announced, no refunds will be issued.

13. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

The Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, misdirected, or incomplete entries due to technical failures, internet connectivity issues, or payment processing errors.
The Sponsor is not responsible for errors in Opta data. If Opta data is unavailable for any reason, the Sponsor will use the next most authoritative publicly available source and will disclose any change in data source.
By entering, participants agree to hold the Sponsor harmless from any claims, damages, or liability arising from participation in the contest.

14. PRIVACY

Personal information collected (name, payment details) will be used solely for the purpose of administering this contest.
Information will not be sold, shared, or used for marketing purposes without explicit consent.
Entry data will be retained for 90 days after the contest season concludes, then deleted.

15. INSTAGRAM DISCLAIMER

This contest is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram/Meta in any way.
By participating, entrants release Instagram/Meta from all liability related to this contest.

16. GOVERNING LAW & DISPUTES

This contest is governed by applicable U.S. federal and state law.
Any disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration, with each party bearing their own costs.
By entering, participants agree to these Official Rules and the Sponsor's decisions, which are final and binding in all matters related to the contest.
